FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #91 – NEON NIGHTMARE EDITION

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #91 - NEON NIGHTMARE EDITION

🎶 Jeepers creepers, where’d you get those peepers? 🎶

80s babies rejoice…neon is back!

New look, same agenda – destruction! Don’t let these colors fool you, these knuckleheads are not the brightest in the bunch but what they lack in smarts, they make up for in muscle.

Check out a showcase of these malevolent mugs featuring the work of Karim, William, John, Bruno, & Mic. Whatever you do, do not look into their eyes…

Name: Karim
Location: Austria
Inspiration: To be honest, I wasn’t inspired much, it’s more like your figures give me the imagination and the inspiration comes automatically!

Name: William
Location: United Kingdom
Inspiration: I was playing around with new head when I realized I could recreate the famous opening to Queen’s bohemian rhapsody!

Name: John
Location: United Kingdom
Inspiration: For this shot I really wanted to showcase the amazing Neon Skulls in some portrait shots. This particular one I knew I wanted it looking right back at the viewer because I love the unsettling (yet fun) vibes of these skulls. Having it posted like he just removed his hood and revealed the skull I think helps keep the focus on the skulls and adds to the unsettling feel I was going for.

Name: Peter
Location: New York, US
Inspiration: What inspired me was just how awesome and colorful the skulls are not to mention the ability to be used with many types of Mezco figures. I love accessories or upgrades that allow me to photograph unique and well made figures.

Name: Mic
Location: Massachusetts, US
Inspiration: I absolutely love the Neon Nightmare set and the crimson cranium skull fits right in with them , I imagine these guys as a special task force that the black skull death brigade send in when the mission becomes too difficult for the average skull to handle. I call these guys the CCC (Cranium Chaos Club)

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #92 – BATMAN EDITION

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #92 - BATMAN EDITION

In honor of the box office success of The Batman & our new One:12 Collective The Batman, we’re giving the spotlight to none other than Vengeance himself!

Everybody knows the streets of Gotham run rampant with crime. The Caped Crusader dons his iconic scalloped cape and pointed cowl, takes to the night sky, and strikes fear into his enemies and hope into his community.

Scroll on to see how Lin, Fabian, Tyler,  Cole & Mr. Mad Orange captured the World’s Greatest Detective.

Name: Lin
Location: Myanmar
Inspiration: I took this as a reference from the style of the Batman 89 movie.

Name: Fabian
Location: Germany
Inspiration: Batman always have been my favorite Superhero. This brave but also sad Character standing in the rain, watching over his City is the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking about the Sovereign Knight. That’s what inspired me to take this shot.

Name: Tyler
Location: United States
Inspiration: It’s well known that Mezco Toys are some of the most photogenic figures on the market. This figure in particular stands out with it’s incredible sculpt work on the suit as well as some impressive head sculpts. Most of the Batman photos that get shown are of Batman with his full mask on, and so I wanted to take one that showcased the Bruce Wayne head sculpt that came with this figure. It is a unique head sculpt that fits the vibe of the figure so well. And let’s not forget the wired cape! Everyone loves a good wired cape. Because of how poseable it is, I wanted to do a shot with the cape flaring across the entire photo!

Name: Cole
Location: United States
Inspiration: My inspiration for this photo was driven by my love for Batman. I wanted to create a scene where Batman is menacingly standing over the joker. I tried my best to portray the Batman as a sort of shadowy figure. These Mezco figures were perfect for the job!

Name: Mr. Mad Orange
Location: China
Inspiration: I’ve been collecting Batman from Mezco for a long time. Batman is Gotham’s vigilante, and I just wanted to show him in one shot the righteousness he radiates when he watches the city from the rooftops

Atticus Doom: Quick Guide

Atticus Doom: Quick Guide

Atticus Doom has emerged from the Necroverse with some all-new functionality that has not been seen before in a One:12 Collective figure. Read on to learn how to take advantage of all the unique features and accessories that come with the Necromagius Prime!

Interchangeable Head Portraits

Atticus Doom has two interchangeable heads – his standard skull portrait and a Mantle of Madness portrait. Both securely attach to the peg on his neck.

Removable Eye Flames

Two Eye Flame FX are included with Atticus Doom and plug into the eye sockets on his standard head. The tail of each flame FX should be facing away from the head, as seen in the picture above.

Mystic Mist

The Mystic Mist rests securely on Atticus’ shoulders, held in place by the standard skull portrait. Simply remove the head portrait and place the Mystic Mist through the neck joint, then connect the standard skull portrait on top of the Mystic Mist. If you are having trouble getting the standard skull portrait to connect, you may have the Mystic Mist facing the wrong direction.

The Mystic Mist is only compatible with Atticus’ standard skull portrait.

The Philosopher’s Oculus

The Philosopher’s Oculus can be removed from Atticus Doom’s brain. Simply remove the turban on Atticus’ standard skull head, then remove the brain. Push up on the underside of the brain to remove the Philosopher’s Oculus. Complete these steps in reverse to reassemble.

FX Stand & Clip

The Portal FX assembles onto the FX stand. All hands, including both Cthulhu Fractions and Nebulous Claw, assemble onto the wrist joint of the Portal FX as seen in the image above.

Interchangeable Wrist Attachments and FX

In order to attach the wrist clip onto Atticus, first remove his hand and reattach after the wrist clip is secure. Both Magic Spell FX and one side of the Portal FX can attach to the wrist clip. Grimoires can sit in the included book clip (pictured above) which also attach to the wrist clip.

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #93 – ATTICUS DOOM EDITION

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #93 - ATTICUS DOOM EDITION

🚨 NEW RUMBLER APPROACHING! 🚨

Name: Atticus Doom
Nickname: Necromagus Prime
Power: Immense
Knowledge: Vast
Agenda: Questionable

Atticus Doom has emerged from the Necroverse! Enriched with Eldritch power and tethered to the Necroverse by his supernatural left hand, the occult private eye protects the realms of reality.

This week, we’re journeying to the Lost City of R’Lyeh and admiring the work of Benjamin, Tom, Alberto, Jon and Luc!

Name: Benjamin
Location: California, US
Inspiration: I was really busy the week Atticus arrived because I was preparing for my grandfather’s funeral but he came and I did a quick showcase of him before I left to see the family.

Name: Tom
Location: California, US
Inspiration: The Sorcerer magic-types on any team (Dr Strange/Dr Fate) have long been my favorites so when we learned the Rumble Society was gaining its own supreme sorcerer/occultist extraordinaire, I instantly began thinking of how his unique ties to the Necroverse via his left hand would look upon spell casting. I really wanted his grimoire to come to life as if barely able to contain the power Atticus channels through it as we see his eyes glowing with power and his hand being set aflame. The figure itself inspired a lot of the specifics and that just shows what a special collectible Atticus is for this line!

Name: Alberto
Location: Florida, US
Inspiration: As big Lovecraftian Horror fan it’s fair to say that this character and his lore are right by my alley. Really wanted to  portray Atticus stepping out of some Eldritch Horror type portal with green foggy lighting in the background with a calm flow stating a “I do this everyday” kinda attitude. Finally as it should be with anything Lovecraft…there’s gotta be some tentacles man!

Name: Jon
Location: Texas, US
Inspiration: It was one of those happy accidents. I wanted to get a shot of Atticus Doom calling on his powers and rising into the air. I took a test shot with a single light and loved the way it looked. Made a couple of slight edits and went with it.

Name: Luc
Location: Arizona, US
Inspiration: I took this photo really trying to capture the magic that he uses to make himself seem so powerful.

Fan Feature Friday #94: Mez-Itz Mania

Fan Feature Friday #94: Mez-Itz Mania

Strange noises in the night? Things mysteriously falling off shelves? Could be ghosts, could be demons, or worse…could be Mez-Itz!

These mini menaces are equal parts mischievous, manipulative, and meddlesome. There’s strength in numbers – a myriad of Mez-Itz is a force to be reckoned with!

Scroll on to see how Aaron, Pedro, Sal, Simon and William tamed their pest problem…or at least tried to.

Name: Aaron
Location: Virginia, US
Inspiration: The idea behind the shot was that it’s fairly common to see the mez-itz sharing a shot with various one:12 figures so I wanted to do one with them by themselves. I love tabletop RPGs like pathfinder and dnd so I got some of my game terrain and some weapons and setup the shot from there.

Name: Pedro
Location: Florida, US
Inspiration: Grew up surrounded by the culture of break dancing, graffiti, video games, painting, and listening to some seriously funky jams with my old man; he’s from the 50’s so part of this pic is thanks to him since we were listening to (Get Down On It) By: Kool & The Gang. Got into collecting Mezco toyz about 2 years ago; a childhood friend kept showing me pictures of these action figs with soft goods and eventually I caved. I bought Vapor on his first re-release into the One12verse because I used to own the OG 2002 Hoodz Vapor that’s when I caught the Mezco Effect 😵‍💫 big time! Since then, I’ve been collecting Mezco toyz to create small action figure comics while taking photo’s trying to earn a spot with the big boys and girls thanks to my family and team of buddies encouraging me to do so. ✨

Name: Sal
Location: California, US
Inspiration: I love anime and wanted to do an Attack on Titian tribute. “Attack on Gomez”

Name: Simon
Location: Texas, US
Inspiration: I was inspired by a lot of the 70s and 80s horror flicks (Critters, Alien, etc) to have our main man Krig Pale Driver hunting a swarm of mez-its. Maybe they were gumming up the works of some intergalactic sewer? Though my intention was to have Krig be the protagonist, mez-itz do have a cuteness about them that could shift that interpretation for the viewer. My favorite thing about Rumble Society is that they are free of these preconceived notions and can be whatever you want them to be, hero or villain!

Name: William
Location: Virginia, US
Inspiration: I really loved the story we got with the Clan of the Golden Dragon being decimated so I was inspired to think about Gomez and Grub training a new group of recruits to rebuild the ranks and what that would look like! I decided to have Gomez overseeing Grub training the new Clan members!

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #95 – APRIL FOOLS’ EDITION

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #95 - APRIL FOOLS' EDITION

They say laughter is the best medicine and this guy really knows how to land a punchline!

There’s no better way to celebrate April Fools Day than with the master of mischief, the Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker! Batsy’s arch-nemesis loves a good prank and he always has the last laugh.

Scroll on if you’re down for a good gag and check out these shots of a pro prankster at work, as shot by Jonard, John, Niels, and Patrick

Name: Jonard
Location: Philippines
Inspiration:  Love the horror vibes of this joker and I wanted to show a sinister encounter with him at night when his is on a prowl looking for his victims. I can’t wait to shot this joker with the upcoming Gaslight Batman.

Name: John
Location: Wisconsin
Inspiration: This photo was inspired by the show “Dexter”. Kill tools at the ready, victim wrapped in plastic, the Joker taking a trophy of blood before he murders Batman. I really liked having The Joker smiling at Batman’s face as he cuts his cheek. Showing how truly insane he really is.

Name: Niels
Location: Netherlands
Inspiration: I think this is one of the first pictures I did with this joker. Not really sure what the inspiration behind it was anymore. but after looking at it I think it holds up pretty good.

Name: Patrick
Location: Philippines
Inspiration: This photo Inspired me from the DC Comic Book in 1975 The Joker The Clown Prince crime, In This Comic book series he faced off with other supervillains and superheroes…📷❤

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #96 – METROPOLIS EDITION

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #96 - METROPOLIS EDITION

Oracle: “Calling in any Justice League members available. Darkseid has been spotted with an army of Parademons in Metropolis! Superman is already on the scene, we need any backup we can get!”

This week, we’re taking a look at some of DC’s biggest names. Check out these sweet pics from Peter, Alonzo, Edward, and Bryan!

Name: Peter
Location: New York, US
Inspiration: It took me a long time to think of a perfect shot of my Mezco Superman ’78. I didn’t want to go the conventional route of using artificial lighting, and so, on a snowy day in New York, the natural lighting was cold enough to convey the mood of the Fortress of Solitude. I shot the pic at a higher ISO to give it some natural grain and to emulate the film stock the original movie was shot on. I wanted the figure’s pose to be heroic, but the shadows on him had to convey some sense of vulnerability. That’s what I love about Christopher Reeve’s portrayal – it had a sense of humanity amidst the grandeur.

Name: Alonzo
Location: Alabama, US
Inspiration: Here Superman is subjected to bow down to Darkseid with one last chance to pull off a miracle death blow.

Name: Edward
Location: Texas, US
Inspiration: The inspiration for the photo came from remembering this scene from the end of the movie where Superman surveys the earth from space and smiles because all is well. I took this photo because the scene is peaceful and promising which is something that we need a little bit more of in current times.

Name: Bryan
Location: New York, US
Inspiration: Darkseid is one of the most imposing villains out there and I wanted to portray him as such. I thought this background was a perfect one to have him stand against, which matched his colors, and made him look as if you’re about to face his deadly judgement.

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #97 – SPIDER-MAN 2099 EDITION

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #97 - SPIDER-MAN 2099 EDITION

This week, we’re swinging head first into the Spider-Verse!

You know when your DNA gets re-written with the genetic code of a spider and you gain proportionate strength, speed, and agility? Well, mix that in with retractable claws, organic webbing, an indestructible unstable molecule suit, and an A.I. assistant and you’ve got Spider-Man 2099! Sheesh, this futuristic webhead really has it all!

Check out the Spider-Man of tomorrow as shot by Jeff, Aden, Alberto, Lizzy, and Danny!

Name: Jeff
Location: Pennsylvania, US
Inspiration: Miguel O’Hara has always been my favorite Marvel character for his insane costume and his angst ridden opposition to the corporate machine. This was the first photo taken of the figure and I wanted to capture his feelings of fear, anger, and isolation following his initial transformation into Spider-Man 2099!

Name: Aden
Location: California, US
Inspiration: I wanted to make my photo look like it could be a cover for a Spider-Man 2099 comic. I hope I was able to achieve this, but also it was just really fun to shoot

Name: Alberto
Location: Florida, US
Inspiration: What can I say other that this figure came out fantastic. I wanted to pose Miguel in a sort of “Predator” mode scanning the streets from the side of a building. The face sculpt and suit, although being a single color, do wonders defining the body and facial features when the lighting is set. An all around solid release. Cheers!

Name: Lizzy
Location: Arizona, US
Inspiration: One of Spider-Man’s most iconic poses is him just chilling on the side of a building contemplating life. I wanted to capture that here with 2099 Spider-Man. I also really enjoyed creating photos with bright vibrant colors, so I complemented the amazing colors on the figure with some classic blue and red lighting!

Name: Danny
Location: Singapore
Inspiration:  Spider-Man 2099 depicts a very different Spider-Man of the future and I wanted the photography to reflect the futuristic aspect of the character. The use of bright neon lighting on the figure as well as the background (inspired by AKIRA and Blade Runner) in my opinion is crucial in bringing this character/picture to life.

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #98 – KRIG EDITION PART 2

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #98 - KRIG EDITION PART 2

The Krig are coming…

The Krig are legendary one-man-army super-soldiers. Built from flesh, fused with machines, and infamous throughout the cosmos.

The Quartermass Pit Massacre. The Strike on Tangaroan. The 38 Cycle Raid on Solomon 9. Wherever the Krig go, destruction follows.

This week, we’re spotlighting The Smith’s creations through the work of Chris, Willian, Steve, Zylar and Mark!

Name: Chris
Location: Maine, US
Inspiration: I loved the comic and all the reveal videos you guys do. I got the Phantom vs Murder Hornets idea from the Murder Hornets video. And just all the cool accessories and effects themselves. Especially love that swiping effect for the cyber-sythe. I enjoy playing with colored lights so this was a really fun one to do.

Name: William
Location: California, US
Inspiration: The inspiration behind this shot was my love for bounty hunters like Boba Fett. In this pic I capture the White Krig out looking for a bounty on a forest planet.

Name: Steve
Location: Indonesia
Inspiration: At the time, I wasn’t really sure what this Krig-Bloodforce character was. I just put him in action pose with sci-fi background and tried to make the picture looked RED.

Name: Zylar
Location: New York, US
Inspiration: As for the inspiration for this shot, I enjoy shooting portraits as I feel I can practice my lighting and angles in a simplistic way. I’ve always been interested in unique characters and something about a space faring super soldier really piqued my interest, so I wanted to try and capture the Krig’s stoic badassery in an outer space setting.

Name: Mark
Location: New York, US
Inspiration: The shot was just inspired by rounding out the team, they mesh so well and look great as a crew.

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #99 – MURDER HORNET EDITION

FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #99 - MURDER HORNET EDITION

A faint buzzing in the distance. A slight vibration in your chest. The swarm is approaching…

The Murder Hornets are an infamous duo, legendary throughout the cosmos for the Quartermass Pit Massacre.

#KrigFact: The Murder Hornets Vibro-Wings are lightweight enough to easily maneuver in flight but strong enough to withstand extreme conditions like the sub-zero temperatures of Solomon 9.

Let’s welcome the newest addition to the Rumble Society with the work of Trevor, Benjamin, Juan, & Angel!

Name: Trevor
Location: Pennsylvania, US
Inspiration: My inspiration for this shot was basically all about having it seem as if the Murder Hornets were hunting down the Black Spartan through a derelict spaceship. Ever since I read the Krig 13 comic I have been interested in this pair and am so glad to finally have them. The “Swarm of Two” motto is badass!

Name: Benjamin
Location: California, US
Inspiration: This hornet patrols the dark passageways of the planet Nematra in search of fugitives and invasive aliens.

Name: Juan
Location: Florida, US
Inspiration: Teamwork makes the dream work, or in this case more like a nightmare for whomever is in their sights. Love the look and lore behind the Murder Hornets and simply wanted to show them off operating side by side in this shot.

Name: Angel
Location: California, US
Inspiration: The inspiration for the image came from the Murder Hornet promo short created by Alex Kropinak, I picked up on the cliffhanger and thought “These Hornets are a bit more tactical than the rest of the Krig” so I posed them on a cautious, defensive approach, they are hunting The Spartan after all, not an easy task.
